I am a little late to the party in posting about this but, because it is coming to an end this Thursday, I felt the need to mention how amazing Serial has been. I heard about it back in September right before Alex and I went on our road trip to find our future home. Each week I tune in hoping that that things will start to unfold and make more sense and we will finally know what really happened. However, I don't think that will be the case and I'm not sure how I will feel come tomorrow. I will say one thing though, Serial has reminded me how much I love audiobooks/podcasts. It brings back memories of me as a kid in the car with my parents and three brothers listening to Hank the Cowdog solve crimes around the farm. Classic.
If you would have told me back in high school or college that I was turning into my mother I would have cringed and said never. The older I get however the more I find myself aligning with my mother. Through mannerisms, the way I handle/act in sutuations and my overall look. I realize now that being like my mother isn't always an insult but at times can be a huge compliment.
My mother is someone I have come to depend on. Yes, she can be harsh and brutally truthful but she is also supportive and extremely encouraging. Her opinion means a great deal to me and I find myself calling to chat atleast once a day. Things, back then, I never thought I'd come to do. My mother is a constant example of what to follow/do and what not to do. No one is perfect but she has helped lay the foundation of my life and for that I am eternally grateful.
I love the way I feel when I get into a bed with clean sheets.
I love coming home to a clean house that feels inviting.
I love writing and organizing my work with office supplies.
I love how you fall in love all over again with each dog you own.
I love the smell of campfire and the memories it brings back to me.
I love reading books that stir up my emotions.
I love the feeling of excitement I get when I receive mail.
I love my family with all our dysfunctions.
I love what Alex adds to my life.
